Mountain States Agency Introduces Leadership Team
BERNALILLO, N.M. — Mountain States Agency, LLC (MSA) has seen tremendous growth with the addition of the Colorado and Eastern Wyoming (CO/WY) territory. Due to our expansion, the influx in hiring, and increase in responsibilities has led to a reorganization within the company. Sticking to our core beliefs, MSA has promoted from within the company.
Mountain States Agency would like to introduce you to our Leadership Team comprised of; Samantha Barnes, James Ross and Jonathan Semarge. These three team members have been integral to the growth of the company. They share my vision and are committed to the future of Mountain States Agency. As we continue to grow and develop, I will lean on this Leadership Team to take us to next level. I’m very proud of how far they have come and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them.
Samantha Barnes
Vice President of Marketing & HR
Samantha started her career in the electrical industry in 2011 working for distribution. After exceeding in her position as office manager, she worked as inside sales for a lighting manufacturer. She became our first hire back in 2014. She has been with the company since its early years and helped create processes, train new employees and evolve our agency. Over the years Samantha has excelled at every position she has held. From Office Management, Inside Sales, Finance, HR or Marketing, she continues to show dedication to learn and excel at each position she is placed in. Samantha is my details person. She is very organized and can translate my ideas to action. She created our marketing department from scratch in 2018 and continues to keep us up with the times.
I’m pleased to announce that Samantha Barnes has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing & HR. She will work in conjunction with the sales team and lead the charge to build our brand as a pillar for loyal partnerships, ethical sales practices and employee satisfaction.
James Ross
Vice President of Sales
James Ross started in the electrical industry working with line crews in 1997. He then followed his passion of solving problems and helping people when he started his sales career in 2010. James came onboard with our agency in 2018. Ross is ambitious and a natural leader. He brings ethics and value to the sales process with his analytical skills to make sure the market is setup for success. There’s no door he won’t knock on and no employee that he will not dedicate his time to help succeed. He is proactive in learning more about the electrical industry and applying this knowledge to better the company.
I’m thrilled to share that James Ross has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. Ross’ responsibilities include; overseeing the outside sales team, establishing goals, planning strategic conversions, monitoring our market share and working with the Leadership Team to communicate our sales initiatives.
Jon Semarge
Vice President of Operations
Jon Semarge began his career in electrical distribution after serving in the Army Airborne Infantry from 2000-2004. Semarge channeled the discipline and tools he learned in the military into a successful career in electrical distribution. Jon quickly moved through the ranks. During his ten years in distribution, Semarge held the positions of Warehouse/Driver, Counter, Inside Sales, Branch Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Quotations and Purchasing. He briefly moved to Denver, CO where he worked for another distributor until Mountain States Agency got him to move back and work for us in 2015.
As our second employee, Jon brought his streamlined processes, key critical thinking skills and years of distribution experience with him. Jon has always been such a secret weapon. He never falters and continues to show up again and again for our team. This loyalty and steadfast tenacity has not gone unnoticed. Therefore, Jon Semarge has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Jon will continue to help develop our processes and oversee the Product Line Manager team as well as spearhead and develop our Project Quotations Department.
